Citing a superseded version
If you are checking a citation to an earlier version of a page, note the review date in the entry below and cite the page as at that date. Superseded text is not republished.

21 August 2026 02.1 The link to the Canberra Health Services Consent for Healthcare Treatment guideline is corrected; the document was renamed. The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care fact sheet is now linked at its current address, where it is published as Informed consent - practical guidance for clinicians.
21 August 2026 03.1 ASHM's HIV management pages on vertical transmission and on pregnancy and midwifery considerations are no longer published. Both references are replaced by ASHM, Bloodborne Viruses and Sexually Transmissible Infections in Antenatal Care 2022, which covers the same ground.
21 August 2026 06.1 Notification requirements now cite the Public Health (Reporting of Notifiable Conditions) Code of Practice 2026 (No 1) (ACT). The 2022 (No 2) code previously cited has been repealed. The link to the notification form is also corrected.
21 August 2026 06.2 The forty jurisdiction pages are retitled from "NSW Specific", "ACT Specific" and so on to name their topic and jurisdiction. Stored numbers and addresses are unchanged, so citations to them still resolve.
21 August 2026 09.2 The Canberra Health Services guideline is no longer linked: it is not published. The paragraph now says so, and points to the National Guidelines for Managing HIV Transmission Risk Behaviours 2018, which it implements and which remains available.
21 August 2026 10.2 The listing of HIV as a transmissible notifiable condition now cites the Public Health (Notifiable Conditions) Determination 2026 (No 1) (ACT). The 2022 (No 2) determination previously cited has been repealed.

21 August 2026 11.12 The Information Protection Principles fact sheet is now linked at its current address on the Information and Privacy Commission NSW site.
21 August 2026 12.1 Two references whose publishers have taken them down — the WHAI report on the criminalisation of HIV non-disclosure in Canada, and Vernazza and others 2008 — now point to Internet Archive captures.
21 August 2026 — Rebuilt with a new design and a new address scheme. No legal content changed. Previous /docs/ links redirect permanently; table-of-contents anchors from the old site cannot be mapped to the new numbered anchors and now land at the top of the correct page.
